Overberg's Oldest Reiki Center

Center for Reiki  Overberg is the only centre in the Overberg region offering certified Reiki training taught in the traditional Japanese format.

Founded by Antoinette, Reiki Master and Master Teacher, the centre is rooted in simplicity, integrity, and direct experience of Reiki as it was originally intended. Antoinette holds a Master’s degree and has a professional background in Management Consulting. In 2006, she experienced a profound spiritual calling that led her to Reiki. What began as a healing practice soon became a deep journey of self-inquiry and personal transformation.

Through years of dedicated practice as a Reiki practitioner, Antoinette’s understanding of Reiki deepened beyond technique, into a way of living and being. This inner work naturally guided her toward teaching, with a strong emphasis on presence, discipline, and respect for the tradition. Classes are intentionally kept small, allowing for individual guidance and a strong focus on the essence of Reiki energy cultivation, mindfulness, and hands-on practice rather than unnecessary additions or modern reinterpretations.  Working with Reiki has profoundly influenced all areas of Antoinette’s life, including yoga, conscious nutrition (veganism), and animal healing, with a special focus on horses. Reiki is approached as a universal life practice that supports harmony between mind, body, and spirit.

 

Antoinette studied under Karen Lange at the Soul Healing Academy, where she completed the following Reiki training and certifications:

• Usui Shiki Ryoho (Western Reiki)- Level 1, 2, Advanced, Master Practitioner and Master Teacher

• Usui Reiki Ryōhō (Traditional Japanese Reiki- Eastern)- Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden, Master Teacher (Level IV/3B)

• Lightarian® Reiki Masters (All levels -I & II, III, IV, V & VI)

• Karuna® Reiki - Level, 1, 2, Master Practitioner and Master Teacher 

• Gendai Reiki -Shoden, Okuden, Shinpiden Gokuikaiden (Master)

• Sekhem Reiki -Level, 1, 2, Master Practitioner and Master Teacher

After many years of teaching various Reiki styles, Antoinette chose to return fully to the traditional Japanese transmission of Reiki as taught by Usui Sensei. Her teaching is grounded in direct lineage below, disciplined practice, and the preservation of Reiki in its original form.

She now offers only the following Reiki training within this tradition:
